Friends of the NRA bring in close to $50,000 for education

The Friends of the NRA Foundation chapter in Lebanon held their annual banquet Thursday night and brought in around $50-thousand which will be used to support local shooting sports programs. Sam Allen tells Regional Radio News that several students from multiple schools will benefit from the grants….

Allen said the local supporters of the Friends of the NRA Foundation are important to the success of the shooting sports and archery programs….

Locally and across the Nation, Friends of the NRA Foundation provides funds for training and education for young people engaged in shooting and archery programs. That includes high school students, 4-H members, FFA programs, and even law enforcement programs that meet the criteria. Allen said the funds raised during the event in Lebanon will stay in Laclede County. During the event, two local Law Enforcement Officers were honored. Lieutenant Matt Frederick with the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office and Officer Chris Nelson were each honored for their service and presented a plaque and a special edition Glock handgun.
