Friends of the Fort helps Soliders who stay behind

For most, Fort Leonard Wood Holiday Block Leave, is a time for Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines to go home and visit family and friends while enjoying the holidays. Unfortunately, many of the service members have no family, or the means of getting home and so they are left behind with very little to do. Brennon Willard with Friends of the Fort says, they have partnered with the communities to provide Christmas dinner, activities and programs

Willard says there is a need for volunteers to help with the 2 day event. If you would like to give your time on December 26th and 27th or if you would like to donate money to help with expenses contact the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce.
