Friday Night Traffic Accident in Phelps County Inflicts Moderate Injuries to a Rolla motorist

A Phelps County motorist was injured in a single-vehicle traffic accident at 9:27 Friday night on Highway O at county Road 5080 in Phelps County.
The highway patrol says 48-year-old Michael L. Huffman was driving his 1997 Ford Mustang too fast for conditions while rounding a curve. The Mustang left the roadway, Huffman overcorrected, the car returned to the roadway, became airborne, left the highway again and struck a tree.
Huffman received moderate injuries and was taken to Phelps Health in Rolla for treatment.
