Waynesville R-6 school district has announced that FREE meals will be provided for ALL students while school is out from March 17th-20th.
All children age 18 and under may receive free breakfast and lunch through a drive-through service at most Waynesville R-VI schools from March 17-20. The children will need to be present IN the vehicle to receive the meals.
The drive-through service will be offered from 7:45 to 9 a.m. for breakfast and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch at :
East Elementary, Freedom, Partridge, Thayer, Wood Elementary;
Waynesville Sixth Grade Center, Waynesville Middle School
Waynesville High School.
In addition, the district will offer free meals from school buses that will serve as remote locations in the community; those locations will be announced later.

This temporary program is being made possible through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and in partnership with OPAA! These meals will include all five food groups and milk, per accordance to state guidelines. Eligible disabled adults** over age 18 may also receive free meals.
The district has received a special waiver to implement the SFSP during this closure; however, all meals will be “grab and go” to eliminate large groups of people in one area. All are asked to practice social distancing.
