Free Fishing Day for the state of Missouri is coming around next month

Free Fishing Day for the state of Missouri is coming around next month. Saturday, June 10th, and Sunday, June 11th have been designated as the free fishing days for Missouri. Anyone, regardless of age, can fish for free with no permit required in any of the state’s streams or lakes. Seasons and length limits still apply. Several events will be taking place in the area to promote Free Fishing Day. Conservation Agent Aaron Pondrom says one of those free fishing events will be taking place at Fort Leonard Wood.

Pondrom says the lake is often stocked in advance to allow for a greater chance for the youth to catch a fish.
