Frederick Michael Sallee, age 75, of Urbana, MO passed away peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born August 4, 1948, in Springfield, MO to the late John E Sallee and Shirley Ann Sallee (Wilson). He graduated from Hermitage High School in 1966 and attended college at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO.

He worked several jobs that he enjoyed in his life, including over-the-road sales and over-the-road truck driving. He was most happy when working on model trains and model airplanes. He loved to spend his time at air shows and watching Nascar races with his son. His time with his family was always the most important to him. Sundays spent in church followed by a big family lunch were his favorite.

Fred remarried later in his life on September 1, 2018 and is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Sallee (Banister); two daughters, Kara Sallee and Sarah Hayter; a stepdaughter, Amanda Estep; a son-in-law Ben Hayter; 4 grandsons, Tracen Howard, Kaden Howard, Kyler Howard, and Henry Hayter; 3 granddaughters, Kaylie Sallee, Kylin Sallee, and Margaret Hayter; a step-granddaughter Adelyn-Rose Quick; and 2 great granddaughters Hadley Nutter and Hensley Nutter. He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Shirley Sallee, and his son Michael Sallee.

His visitation service will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 1-3pm at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets funeral home in Buffalo, MO for those who would like to attend or send flowers. The family will have a private burial afterward.
