Freak 5 Accident

An accident on Highway 5, 6 miles north of Lebanon, resulted in moderate injuries to a Lebanon man at 9:30 last night (Tuesday). The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by 20-year-old Chase A. Rakestraw encountered a tractor-trailer heading north on Highway 5 when dual tires from the tractor-trailer detached from the truck, crossing the center line and striking the car. The tractor-trailer continued on and has not been located. Rakestraw was transported to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.
