Fort Wood Leaders Thank Communities For Entertaining Soldiers Left Behind During Holiday Block Leave

After hearing reports of community events over Holiday Block Leave for trainees left behind to spend their time on Fort Leonard Wood, senior leadership has issued a big “Thank You” to the Waynesville-St. Robert area, Rolla, and Lebanon.
Post commandant, Major General Christopher Beck, said,
“Command Sergeant Major Arzabala and I want to express our gratitude to the communities in the four-county area, as well as the south central Missouri region for making this season special for those who were unable to return home this year. Specifically, the communities of Waynesville, St. Robert, Lebanon, Rolla, and Springfield – along with others in the surrounding area – extended a tremendous amount of generosity and hospitality to our service members in training, leaving no doubt as to Missouri’s support for our military and leaving no doubt as to the many activities available here in the heart of our nation. On behalf of the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood team: thank you for all you do and thank you for your continued support of our missions and our people. We are proud to serve here in the Show-Me state with each of you.”
