A lot of summer fun and family vacations will begin this Memorial Day Weekend…and most, if not all, community swimming pools will be opening as well. Wallace Outdoor Pool on Fort Leonard Wood is scheduled to be open for recreational swimming. Wallace Pool will be open from noon to 7 p-m Wednesdays through Sundays, with pool-party hours available from 7 to 9 p-m. Admission will be $4 for patrons with a military ID card and $6 for civilian patrons. Rates for parties and season passes will be updated on the FMWR website. The indoor pool at Davidson Fitness Center will continue to be used for lap swimming, military training, and swimming lessons. The Leiber Heights Pool, which has not been available for recreational swimming for several years, will open but will be used exclusively for swimming lessons and scuba-diving lessons. The Rec-Plex facility will be open from noon to 7 p-m Saturdays and noon to 5 p-m Sundays.
St. Robert’s Tiger Typhoon outdoor swimming pool will be open for the season tomorrow.
