Former Waynesville Mayor Luge Hardman has written another book. It’s “Hello Darling, Letters From My Father.”
Hardman says she was inspired to write this book when she and other family members discovered these letters after their mother died.

And she says learned her father has written these letters so clearly.

Hardman says her dad was serving on a ship that was believed to be near Japan at a time when one of the atomic bombs was dropped in August of 1945 and may have witnessed the deadly bomb blast and mushroom cloud from a safe distance offshore. Luge Hardman has announced a series of events where she will appear for book sales and signing. The first signing event happens this Sunday at the American Legion Post 331 in St. Robert from 1 to 3 o’clock in the afternoon. There will be further book sales and signing events next week into September, beginning with an event in the Waynesville Public Library on Monday, August 21st, from 5 to 6 o’clock. The author’s books will be available for purchase for $20 and autographing. Books are also available at several downtown Waynesville locations, the Route 66 Art Gallery in Buckhorn, and the Pulaski County Tourism Bureau in St. Robert.
