Former State Senator Brown Dies in Rolla

From Rolla comes news that former Missouri State Senator Dan W. Brown has died. The Phelps County Republican Party announced the death Tuesday via a Facebook post. Brown represented Missouri’s 16th District in the Missouri State Senate for two terms from 2011 to 2019. Prior to that, Brown served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2008 to 2010 representing the 149th district. Brown’s son, Justin Brown, was elected to the 16th District seat in 2018 following in his father’s footsteps. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced this afternoon by Null and Sons Funeral Home in Rolla.
