Former Laclede County Sheriff Dies at age 80

A longtime law enforcement officer from Laclede County has died. Former Laclede County Sheriff and Former Conway Mayor Lawrence Milton Rifenburg Senior died on November 30th at his home in Conway, at the age of 80. Mr Rifenburg served over 29 years in law enforcement including 12 years as Laclede County Sheriff. During his lifetime, Rifenburg was an integral part of creating the Conway Senior Center and volunteered there for several years. He also served as Mayor of Conway. Lawrence Rifenburg will lie in state at Day Funeral Home today(wed) and Thursday from Noon to 4 at Day Funeral Home in Marshfield. Graveside services will be Friday at 1 at Little Vine Cemetery in Niangua Cemetery.
