Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, has announced the promotion tomorrow of Dixon native, Sergeant Joseph A. Veasman. Veasman is currently assigned to Troop F, Zone 14, commercial vehicle enforcement. Tomorrow, he’ll be Lieutenant Veasman and be assigned to the Professional Standards Division at the Patrol’s General Headquarters in Jefferson City. Veasman grew up in both Dixon and Vienna, Missouri. He graduated from Vienna High School in 1998. Veasman earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, in 2002. He completed the Police Leadership-West Point Model course in 2019. Veasman is married to Dr. Amanda Veasman and they have two daughters.
