The Pulaski County Ambulance District Board of Directors has hired consultants to do an in-depth evaluation of district finances and operation practices. The district issued a press release last week to inform the public what was transpiring.
Mike Mc Cart, who has stepped in to lead day-to-day operations of the district, says an independent firm will be conducting a forensic financial audit of the ambulance district.

Mc Cart says the district is doing a nationwide search for an experienced Chief Executive Officer for the Pulaski County Ambulance District. He adds that the district is in good financing shape, even though it recently lost a lawsuit to St. Robert over sales tax money collected in Transportation Improvement District.
He says that, while the district has gotten behind in its billing operations, that should be taken care of in the coming weeks.
