Flooding has caused considerable damage to the bridge over Tavern Creek west of Crocker on Highway U

Flooding from overnight rains has caused considerable damage to the bridge over Tavern Creek west of Crocker on Highway U. Raging waters flooded the road, damaged the surface of the highway, and did damage under the bridge. At one point, a tree uprooted by the floodwaters was draped across the bridge. Motorists are being advised to use Highways 42 and BB as a detour route around the flood-damaged bridge.
