Firefighters Respond to an Early Afternoon Fire in West Waynesville

The Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District, St. Robert Fire and Rescue, and Fort Leonard Wood Fire Department personnel responded to fight an early afternoon fire today at Westside Baptist Church in Waynesville. No one was reported to be injured in the fire and damage was believed to be limited to an office in the church building.
The fire resulted in traffic problems on Historic Route 66 while fire crews were battling the blaze.
