Fire Destroys Lake Home

Osage Beach Fire Protection District Firefighters responded to a fire at a lakefront home on Stone Ledge Circle near the 20-mile marker of Lake of the Ozarks. The fire reportedly broke out around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. The smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles. The property was valued at over one and a half million dollars and appeared to be a total loss. There was no immediate cause for the blaze reported; however, there were reports of workers burning a pile of lumber scraps near the house next to the Stoneledge Condominiums. Lake Ozark Fire Protection firefighters aided Osage Beach firefighters in fighting the blaze. There were no reports of injuries.
