Fatal traffic crash in Pettis County

A man from St James died from injuries he received during a crash on Wednesday morning. According to the Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Collin Oetting was traveling on Route H in Pettis County when his truck failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road and hit an embankment, and came to rest in a creek on its top. Oetting was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
