Fatal Fire in Macks Creek

The Southwest Camden County Fire Protection District responded to a fire just after noon on Monday that took the life of an elderly woman. Chief Mike Hufferd said when they arrived on scene of the home on W Highway, the home was fully involved in fire.

When firefighters were able to get into the home, they found the body of an elderly woman in the bedroom. The Fire Marshal was called to investigate, but the cause of the fire has not been determined.
