Pulaski County Deputies helped rescue a woman Sunday afternoon after her vehicle had driven off the roadway at a low-water crossing. The female driver had gone off the crossing on the east side of Riverside Road south of Crocker. Deputies Chapman and Kunert with the department waded into the water, which was up to the driver’s knees, and safely removed her from the car.
She was hoisted onto Chapman’s shoulders, brought to safety and taken to a hospital for treatment, deputies stated. The sheriff’s department was also assisted by Crocker Fire and Pulaski County Ambulance District.
