Several members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation were fired on during an operation Friday morning near Warsaw. A spokesperson said the FBI had a lawful presence regarding a federal investigation in the 30000 block of Highway 65. When they announced their presence, they were fired upon from the residence.
Agents did not return fire, and two people were taken into custody without further incident.
32-year-old Jonathan O’Dell of Warsaw was charged with one count of transmitting a threat across state lines to injure another person and one count of unlawfully possessing a firearm.
A TikTok video that agents say was posted by O’Dell spoke about securing the southern border with the intent of shooting to kill.
Another man, 37-year-old Bryan Perry of Clarksville, Tennessee, was charged with one count of transmitting a threat across state lines to injure another person, one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of forcibly assaulting an FBI agent with a deadly weapon. Both men were taken into custody at O’dell’s home in Warsaw. A spokesperson says there was no danger to the public. And no further information was released.
