Exit 161 bridge over I-44 in St. Robert is nearing completion

There is good news today for motorists in the area. The Missouri Department of Transportation is reporting that the work project on the Exit 161 bridge over I-44 in St. Robert is nearing completion. In response to our inquiry, Preston Kramer, the Meramec Area Engineer with the Central District of MoDOT replied, “Yes, the work nears completion. If everything goes according to plan, and the weather cooperates, we will have everything opened back on Thursday afternoon.” That means the eastbound ramp from I-44 leading up to Missouri Avenue will no longer be blocked off to traffic. Again, that ramp will be opened sometime Thursday afternoon. It is currently marked with traffic cones and blockaded to traffic.
