Engineer Regimental Week activities continue today at Fort Leonard Wood

Engineer Regimental Week activities continue today at Fort Leonard Wood. However, the Engineer Regimental Run that was scheduled this morning was canceled Wednesday afternoon. On tap today is the Senior Engineer Leadership Forum, a two-day event, during which the regiment looks at ways to ready and modernize the force by sharing information, documenting lessons learned, and comparing best practices. The forum serves as an opportunity for the leaders of the Engineer Regiment to build consensus on critical issues. Engineer School Commandant, Colonel Joseph Goetz, will address the regiment at 8 o’clock this morning in Lincoln Hall Auditorium.
A Fallen Sapper Tribute to memorialize the lives and service of fallen engineers lost in war and support operations is scheduled to take place this evening at 6 o’clock at the Sapper Memorial Grove. The events include remarks from Colonel Goetz, a rendering of honors, and a wreath-laying ceremony. The event is open to anyone with access to Fort Leonard Wood and also will be live-streamed on the Fort Leonard Wood Facebook page. This is the last day for the Army Engineer Association Industry Exhibition, which will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, at Nutter Fieldhouse.
