Endangering The Welfare Of A Child 

A Four Seasons couple is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child following an incident that happened on March 22nd. Camden County Deputies responded to an apartment complex on Ridgecrest Circle where a vehicle was sitting in the wood line, and a witness said that two people had been fighting nearby. Deputies then went to an apartment where they spoke with Aaron Barta and Jessica Frances Rene Slates, who both appeared to be intoxicated. Barta and Slates each had injuries and the apartment was in disarray. Inside the residence, officers observed marijuana, glass pipes with marijuana residue, and marijuana wax. There were two children in the home at the time of the incident, and they were found hiding in a bedroom. One of the children told the deputy that Barta had threatened them. Barta and Slates are charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
