Lebanon lost one of its best known residents Monday morning, July 1, 2024. Elizabeth (Beth) Long died at her home near Lebanon. Beth served as Laclede County Clerk from 1983 – 1990 and served multiple terms with the Missouri House of Representatives. She was active on all levels of the Republican party.

She is survived by her husband, Kent Long; and three daughters, Amie Jackson and her husband Keith, Dana Long and Sarah Witt and her husband Russell, all of Lebanon; and five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles DeBerry; a sister-in-law, Karen Hofman; a niece and nephew and two great-nephews.

Funeral service for Elizabeth “Beth” Long will be Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Project 360 or Tunnels to Towers and donations may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 320 S. Adams Ave., Lebanon, MO 65536.
