Eldridge Woman Injured in Hit and Run
A 48-year old Eldridge woman suffered severe injuries after being struck by a car on Niangua Road, 1 mile west of Highway 5. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by 38-year old Tommy J. Abedaldein of Lebanon went off the right side of the road, struck Katherine D. Spiker, and then left the scene. The incident occurred at 2:00 pm Sunday. Spiker was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Abedaldein was found and arrested at 7:47 Sunday night, he is facing charges of assault in the 2nd degree and felony leaving the scene. He was taken to the Laclede County Jail.
