Eldridge Man Dead in Camden County Accident

An 80-year old Eldridge man was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 11:57 Monday morning on Camden County Route D, just north of Jack North Road. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a 1994 Ford Explorer driven by Leonard R. Byars ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Byars was pronounced dead at the scene by Camden County medical examiner Jason Funke.
