Eldon man arrested after attempted escape
An Eldon man is facing a trio of charges in Camden County following incidents that happened on Saturday. A Camden County Deputy responded to a location for a report of a domestic disturbance. At the scene the person who answered the door had blood on them, and the deputy located Gavin Cadwallader behind the door. The deputy got Cadwallader out of the apartment and while searching him he allegedly found a glass smoking device with methamphetamine residue. When speaking to a witness the officer was told, they got into an argument and when they began packing to leave, Cadwallader began throwing things. He then allegedly grabbed a hatchet and struck a cabinet several times. The Deputy returned to his patrol car after speaking with the witness and discovered that Cadwallader had escaped. Less than an hour later Cadwallader was located running through the woods, and was taken into custody. He is charged with domestic assault, possession of a controlled substance and escape from custody.
