Eighth time for delay of Endsley murder trial

The trial for a Camden County man accused of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, and second-degree arson. is delayed once again. 56-year-old Steven Endsley is accused of killing Danielle Smith and her mother Theresa Jackson in 2016. Authorities say Endsley stabbed the pair in Camdenton before setting their mobile home on fire. The murders were alleged to be part of ongoing disagreements and harassment by Endsley over Danielle Smith’s bisexual lifestyle. This is the eighth time the trial has been delayed. According to court records the latest trial delay is because of the COVID-19 outbreak. Steven Endsley’s jury trial is now scheduled to begin in October in Laclede County on a change of venue request by Endsley. His bond remains at $1 million dollars.
