Education Committee Finalizes Recommendations

A statewide commission has finalized its recommendations to help improve working conditions for Missouri’s K-12 public school teachers. The recommendations are part of a statewide effort to get a grip of Missouri’s low teacher retention rate and teacher shortage. The commission wants the state to fund grants to make a model for an advanced teaching role, and provide positive school culture and climate training for district leaders.
