Early Morning Tractor-Trailer Accident Injures Two Florida Residents

A tractor-trailer accident on I-44 at 12:15 this morning resulted in serious injuries to a couple from Springhill, Florida. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that the truck driven by 54-year-old Ethel M. Oboute ran off the right side of the interstate, struck a highway sign and a bridge support beam. Oboute and a passenger in the truck, 45-year-old Denshield Oboute, both suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Traffic in the westbound lane of the interstate was re-routed for several hours.
