DWI Leads to Injuries

Two women were taken to Cox Hospital in Springfield following a single-vehicle crash at 11:30 Thursday night, 4 miles south of Rogersville on Blackfoot Road in Christian County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a pickup driven by 20-year old Chance R. Johns of Elkland ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and then overturned. Two passengers in the truck suffered moderate injuries. 21-year old Katie L. Fink of Phillipsburg and 21-year old Megan L. Lansdown of Hartville were not wearing seatbelts. Johns did not report any injuries and was charged with DWI, causing physical injury, careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, and several other offenses. He was taken to the Christian County Jail and later released.
