Dust from construction work is being blamed for causing a collision on westbound I-44
Dust from construction work is being blamed for causing a collision on westbound I-44 at the 182-mile marker, two miles west of Rolla on Tuesday morning.
The highway patrol says a 2023 Peterbilt Tractor-Trailer Unit, driven by 57-year-old Timothy D. Clark of Springfield, slowed when entering a construction zone, and was struck by a 2014 Ram 3500, driven by 47-year-old Bryon E. Poe of Rolla. According to the patrol, concrete dust in the air obstructed the vision of both drivers
Poe received moderate injuries from the accident and was taken by Phelps Ambulance to Phelps Health in Rolla for treatment. Clark received only minor injuries and sought treatment.
