Drug and weapon charge against man from Oklahoma

An investigation that occured following a traffic stop in September has led to felony charges against a man from Oklahoma. The traffic stop when authorities were contacted about a vehicle that was driving erractically. According to responding officer when he approached, he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and both occupants appeared to be under the influence. He also reported that permission was given to search the vehicle. During the search a glass jar with over 5 ounces of marijuana inside was located, along with a black bag with several thousand dollars cash. The search of the vehicle also resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia that tested positive for cocaine, and a gun was located in the trunk. 21 year old Carlos Reyes is now charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and Unlawful Use Of Weapon for possessing a weapon and a felony controlled substance. His appearance is set for July 24th.
