(Waynesville)–There will be no classes this Friday for students in the Waynesville School District. This should leave plenty of room for social distancing for the Pulaski County Health Department’s drive-through flu shot opportunity for individuals in the community.
The school district’s Director of Communications and Marketing Marianne Ward says the health department is calling the event, “Boo to the Flu.”

The Health Department is trying to innoculate as many people as they can by this Saturday. It takes two weeks for the vaccine to become fully effective. The reason for their urgency is fear is that many people will come down with Covid-19 and the flu at the same time, which presumably would make it more difficult for sufferers to survive the dual virus attack.
