According to NHTSA, just over 10,000 people lost their lives due to accidents in 2019 that were caused by drunk driving. Laclede County Sheriff David Millsap says when you drive drunk or buzzed several things happen that make you unfit to drive.

All of this adds up to an increased potential for serious accidents involving serious injuries, or worse.

Sheriff Millsap highly recommends having a plan when you know you’re going to drink and taking charge when someone else wants to take the unnecessary risk

If you see drunk driving on the road, don’t be afraid to call law enforcement. You may be saving multiple lives.
