Domestic assault in Camden County

A Camdenton man is facing assault charges following an incident happened on July 25th. According to paperwork filed by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to a call about an alleged assault that happened near Whistle Road and Tunnel Dam Road in Camden County. The victim reported that Christopher Aaron Benson approached their vehicle and started fighting with one of the occupants. According to a witness statement Benson was pushing the victim, and slammed the victim’s head into a car door. According to the report Benson also threatened a juvenile. Benton is charged with felony domestic assault and misdemeanor assault, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
