A complaint about a domestic assault has led to charges against a Camdenton man. Camden County Deputies responded to the call in the 7-thousand block of State Road D last Thursday and spoke with the victim who said that she locked herself and her children in the bedroom, after Gregory Hepner allegedly pinned her to the bathroom door with his hand to her throat, which left bruising on her neck. She also said that while they were in the bedroom hiding, Hepner began cutting a coffee table in the living room with a knife and then stabbed himself in the leg. One of the children said they attempted to talk to Hepner and he hit him in the face. When the deputy spoke with Hepner, he denied assaulting the woman, and said he didn’t stab himself and the officer said he didn’t appear to be injured. Hepner is charged with 2 counts of domestic assault. This week Hepner entered a plea of not guilty in court and his next hearing date is set for Tuesday, February 28th.
