A Houston man is facing assault charges after attacking a woman during an argument over transportation to their probation officer. Texas County Deputies responded to a residence on Hayes Drive on Wednesday, and spoke with the victim in the assault. The woman said they were in a parked vehicle, when Eric Caswell bit her and produced a knife. She said Caswell threatened to harm himself with the knife, but then held it to her throat threatening to kill her. She said she was able to get out of the car, but he then forced her back in the car and choked her. She said she was able to get away a second time and run to a residence. Caswell was arrested for domestic assault, and while being processed in the jail, he was found to be in possession of cocaine. 31 year old Eric S Caswell was charged with domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance in a jail. His bond was set at $500-thousand-dollars.
