Domestic assault and drugs
A Lebanon woman is facing charges after police responded to a call last week for a disturbance. Officers responded to the 300 Block of North Adams, where it was reported that a woman had attempted to run down her boyfriend. When officers located the driver, she said they were arguing and she pulled up next to him but didn’t’ try to hit him with the vehicle.
Aliah Smith was already out on bond for a drug possession charge, and officers asked for consent to search. The officers found multiple syringes, a glass pipe, and containers with a clear liquid inside. She was arrested. The alleged victim told the officers, that the woman had slapped him, and attempted to run over him, but he wasn’t hurt and didn’t want to press charges.
Smith was released with a summons to appear in court for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
