Dixon school officials are asking staff members and students who may have gone on a cruise during Spring Break to one of the Coronavirus Warning Level 3 countries, to observe a 14-day quarantine and not to attend school or work until 14 days have expired. The Dixon School District says it is implementing this extra level of precaution in an effort to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. Please email Duane Doyle or Christie Hughes if you are impacted at your earliest convenience. Superintendent of Schools Doyle says, “I want to assure you that the district will continue to monitor the situation closely and work with individuals impacted. There is not a one size fits all answer regarding how we respond to this matter and the situation continues to evolve. Please remain patient while we work to answer your questions and concerns. If you are not able to report to work you will be expected to use health leave. For those individuals that do not have health leave built up, you will have the ability to apply for the Health Leave Pool if you are eligible.”
