Dixon Man Suffers Serious Injuries

A 19-year old Dixon man suffered serious injuries in a three-vehicle accident at 8:15 Thursday morning on Highway D in Jerome in Phelps County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by Joshua T. Ebeling was trying to pass another vehicle driven 32-year old Jessica M. Gay of Newburg when Ebeling struck a car driven by 24-year old Rebecca L. Cheek of Dixon nearly head-on. Ebeling was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Gay and Cheek reported minor injuries and were taken to Phelps Health in Rolla. Ebeling was not wearing a seatbelt; others involved were wearing safety devices.
