Dixon Man Indicted By Pulaski County Grand Jury

A 69-year-old Dixon man has been indicted by a Pulaski County grand jury for a crash that occurred in January of this year, resulting in the death of a woman. Kennard Jackson has been charged with First Degree Involuntary Manslaughter and Assault in the 2nd Degree. The charges are related to the collision involving three vehicles that occurred on January 18, at Highway Z and Missouri Avenue in St. Robert.

Authorities say that Jackson claimed the brakes on his Dodge Ram 2500 were not functioning properly, causing him to run a red light and collide with a car driven by Mia Williamson. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to hit an S.U.V. driven by David Wilson. Minerva Williamson, the mother of Mia Williamson, who was in the car, passed away due to the injuries sustained in the accident. Mia Williamson and her father, Mack, were also injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, Motor Vehicle Inspectors from the Missouri State Highway Patrol tested the brakes on Jackson’s truck and determined that they were functioning normally.

Jackson’s arraignment is scheduled to take place on May 22 before 25th Circuit Judge Colin Long.
