The Dixon Future Farmers of America are preparing for their third annual truck pull that will be taking place later this week. Dixon High School FFA advisor Mandy Farnham tells us when the event will be taking place.
There will be 6 classes of truck pulling competition with pay out in all classes up to 5th place. There is an entry fee for competitors and an admittance charge for spectators planning to attend.
Food will be available for purchase at the event. Steve and Heather Hodges of the Home Plate Grill in Dixon will have pulled pork and pulled pork nachos and Ira Moss of Three Brothers Meat Company in Montreal will be grilling fresh hamburgers and big, juicy hot dogs.
To accomodate the truck pull, Farnham says classes will be letting out early Friday afternoon.
Proceeds will go to benefit Dixon FFA members and their projects.
