This year’s Dixon Cow Days Festival has fallen victim to the increasing Covid threat. Earlier this week, the Dixon Chamber of Commerce regretfully decided to cancel the popular Cow Days event this year.
In making the cancellation, the Chamber said it can’t “take the chance of holding such a large event that could lead to the numbers skyrocketing even further in our community.”
The Chamber noted that if any single member of its volunteers would fall ill at festival time, it would be a huge strain on the event.
“We do hope that next year we can come back with a Cow Days that we can all be proud of,” they added.
The last year that Cow Days took place in Dixon was in 2019.

For those who haven’t heard, the Dixon Area Chamber of Commerce has chosen also to cancel the First Friday event that was scheduled to be held this afternoon and evening.
