Director of Missouri Department of Conservation announces retirement

The first woman to serve as director of the Missouri Department of Conservation has announced that she is retiring. MDC Director Sara Parker Pauley has served in positions of public service for 30 years including nearly 6 years as director. During her 30 year career Pauley has worked with partners to create programs for students who are the next generation of conservation professionals, she has served as the president of the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and in other positions promoting natural resources and conservation. Pauley will officially retire from the position on July 1st. The Conservation Commission will launch an executive search for the next director, in February.
