Dig Safely Its The Law

Warmer weather means outdoor activities are starting, and that means folks are beginning to get construction projects started. April is national safe digging month, so it is important when you dig you always are being safe. The quickest and easiest way to make sure your digging safe is to dial 811 because it is the law. It’s very important to call the number 3 days in advance so they can come out, and make sure you’re digging in the right spot. Chairmen of the Missouri Public Service Commission Scott Rupp (ROOP) says if you don’t call you could risk some serious damage.

Rupp says they are very quick to get to you after the phone call.

Remember if you’re digging make sure you are safe because it is the law.
