Dent County Man Facing Assault Charges on Deputy

A Dent County man has been taken into custody and is facing charges of assaulting a deputy. 36-year old Shanon Bass is accused of assaulting an officer and then fleeing on foot. Officers with the Missouri Highway Patrol, Dent County Sheriff’s Office, and the Salem Police Department assisted in the arrest. Bass was taken to the Dent County Jail in Salem.
