Demolition planned for Laclede County Jail Museum

The Laclede County Commission has decided to move forward and take bids to tear down the old Laclede County Jail House. According to Presiding Commissioner Randy Angst, the building has become a liability for the county.

Angst said he hopes they can save some of the materials from the old jail museum and use it in other elements on the Government Center grounds. Sealed proposals for demolition and removal of the Laclede County Jail Museum are due by 8:30am June 22nd.
