Deer hunters in Missouri harvested 93,355 deer during the opening weekend of the November

Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) shows deer hunters in Missouri harvested 93,355 deer during the opening weekend of the November portion of firearms deer season this past Saturday and Sunday. Of the 93,355 deer harvested, 55,267 were antlered bucks, 7,250 were button bucks, and 30,838 were does.
Top harvest counties for opening weekend were Franklin with 2,015 deer harvested, Texas with 1,724, and Callaway with 1,692. Updated Conservation Department harvest numbers through Monday show 783 deer have been harvested in Pulaski County, 2,077 deer in Texas County, 1218 in Laclede County, 1060 in Camden County, 1039 in Phelps County, 1022 in Miller County, and 873 in Maries County. Franklin County still leads in the state during the firearms season with 2356 deer harvested through Monday. Last year, hunters checked 89,939 deer during the opening weekend of the November portion of firearms deer season. The November portion of firearms deer season continues through next Tuesday, the 22nd.
